The hotel rooms were spacious, comfortable, and warm, but unfortunately, the heating was outside our control. The service was outstanding, particularly from the breakfast waitress. The location provided a peaceful setting with a lovely view of the country. The dining experience offered delicious hot dishes, though the price for a room without breakfast was considered high.

The hotel provided ideal rooms for our requirements, although they were in need of refreshing. The staff was excellent, very friendly, and worked well as a team. The location was beautiful next to the river in a quiet village, although communication with few staff was a challenge. The dining experience was disappointing, with small portions, yet the grilled meat was very good. The facilities were decent but lacked some communication due to few staff.

7.0/10

Despite the outdated rooms in need of refurbishment, my stay was pleasant with clean and warm accommodations. The bed was comfortable, and amenities like an iron and ironing board were available. However, the WiFi signal was weak in rooms at the rear and there was a slight musty smell. The shower broke on the second morning, and there was a shortage of towels and bath mats upon arrival.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms, though outdated and in need of refurbishment, were clean and warm. The shower was good, but some maintenance issues were present.
Service
9.0
The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and responsive. They were willing to assist in any way possible, even during busy times. Room service and other services were of high quality.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location in the amazing village was delightful, near attractions like Stamford and Burley House and Gardens. Despite poor weather, the views and surroundings were lovely.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience, while offering regional dishes, was a little underwhelming with limited breakfast options and small portions. The inclusions were not enough for value for money.
